罗兰·亨特福德(Roland Huntford)，世界极地冒险权威和探索者。他所写的《二木板一痴心：滑雪的戏剧性历史》荣膺国际滑雪历史协会乌尔奖，《司各特和阿蒙森》（Scott and Amundsen: Last Place on Earth）和《为南极竞赛》（Race for the South Pole: The Expedition Diaries of Scott and Amundsen）亦为获奖书作。多年来，他担任《观察家》的斯堪的纳维亚通讯记者。
