We’re thrilled to announce Robert J. Sawyer has won the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association’s Aurora Award for Best Novel, for QUANTUM NIGHT, his ominously prescient near future novel in which psychopaths are revealed to be pulling many of the levers of our society.

In accepting the award, Sawyer said,

“I’d also like to thank the voters for the Aurora Awards for this honor — while at the same time decrying those voters south of the border who turned what was supposed to be a cautionary science-fiction tale into a dystopian reality. I had good luck today; let us hope we all have better luck in the next U.S. presidential election.”

In addition to the Best Novel award, Sawyer won the newly-established ‘Best of the Decade’ Aurora for his trilogy The Neanderthal Parallax (HOMINIDS, HUMANS and HYBRIDS).  He is the first recipient, a true honor.

HOMINIDS also won the 2003 Hugo Award, and HUMANS was a 2004 Hugo nominee.
