There are so many amazing things happening with Rainbow Rowell’s latest novel, FANGIRL, that it’s getting hard to keep up.   Here is a brief rundown.

·        It’s aNew York Timesbestseller!  The book hits theTimeslist this week (September 29) at #8!

·        It’s an Indie bestseller, too.  Last week, it hit the Indie Bestseller list at #8.

·        FANGIRL is also the very first book chosen in the vast internet blogging platform Tumblr’s new book club, Reblog, where all of its bloggers are encouraged to blog about the same book.  They chose FANGIRL as their first offering, and the response has been feverish.  This is a brand new endeavor, and very exciting.

·         ‘Library Reads', a program where librarians throughout the country recommend books to other librarians, parents, and readers.  The most recommended book is then chosen, and highlighted at libraries throughout the U.S.  FANGIRL is the first book chosen.

·        FANGIRL was chosen by Amazon.com as one of its ‘Best Books of the Month’ for September 2013.

·         It is an Indie Next pick.  As many of you know, Indie Next is a top ten list generated per season, based on votes from independent booksellers.  Indie Next books are highlighted in independent bookstores using shelf-talkers and brochures.

·         The reviews.  Much like ELEANOR & PARK, reviewers have heaped enormous praise on FANGIRL, including three starred reviews (School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, and Kirkus Reviews).

“Rowell, whose last young adult novel was “Eleanor & Park,” specializes in young misfits charting their way in the world.  She doesn’t disappoint here…Cath’s relationships, tender and untidy, ring true..”—New York Times Book Review

“The novel’s brilliance comes from Rowell’s reimagining of a coming-of-age story’s stock characters (the reclusive writer, the tough-talking friend, the sweet potential boyfriend) as dynamic and temperamental individuals—which adroitly parallels Cath’s own fan-fiction writing process. Rowell challenges readers to love characters who are loyal, vulnerable and funny—but also realistically flawed.”–Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

“In this poignant follow-up toEleanor & Park, Rowell manages to capture both the wildly popular universe of fanfic and the inside of an 18-year-old's head. Consider me a fangirl of this charming coming-of-age tale.”—Entertainment Weekly

FANGIRL has thusfar been sold to Macmillan in the UK, Hanser in Germany, Bragelonne in France, Boekerij in the Netherlands, Santillana in Spain, and Novo Seculo in Brazil.

ELEANOR & PARK has sales in the UK (Orion), Italy (Piemme),  German y (Hanser),  France (Pocket Jeunesse); Spain (Santillana), Brazil (Novo Seculo),  Sweden (Berghs Forlag), Denmark (Gads Forlag), Taiwan (China Times),  Korea (Prooni) and Hungary (Scolar).以下参看中文简介:
