亚当·纳尔逊（Adam R. Nelson）是威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校教育政策研究和历史的维拉斯杰出成就教授。他是《难以捉摸的理想：波士顿公立学校中的平等教育机会和联邦角色》（The Elusive Ideal: Equal Educational Opportunity and the Federal Role in Boston’s Public Schools）和《教育与民主：亚历山大·梅克尔约翰的意义，1872-1964》（Education and Democracy: The Meaning of Alexander Meiklejohn, 1872–1964）的作者，也是《现代美国的教育与印刷文化》（Education and the Culture of Print in Modern America）和《全球大学：过去、现在和未来的观点》（The Global University: Past, Present, and Future Perspectives）的合编者。
