There have recently been a stream of announcements on the cast of the forthcoming TV series based on MR MERCEDES. The cast is developing into a stellar combination of award-winning television and film actors, including Emmy Award winner Brendan Gleeson, starring as retired detective Bill Hodges.
As previously announced, David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, The Practice) and Jack Bender (The Lost, Game of Thrones) are executive producers, with Jack Bender also directing at least the first episode of the series.
Filming has now begun in North Carolina. The series is technically scheduled for release in 2018, but may be brought forward to Fall 2017.
